Children Outreach Vision Statement

Our Goal is to keep children out of the streets and into a God-based environment.

We believe all children should have the chance to do the same things as other kids even though they do not have the funds to do so.

We believe all children should have a chance to know how good God is, and what He can do in their lives.

Our statement is not only for the children but also for the parent. We want parents to know that there are people out there that care for them and their family.

Food/Personal Care Pantry

The food pantry is designed for families who are in need of food and personal care products. It will be open to the public soon. On the major holidays, the food pantry will be emptied out and all of the food will go to families that are in need in our community.

We also will be working with our local homeless shelter providing clothes, food, and other items for the families in the shelter.

Activities

Sports ministry is designed to teach children the importance of teamwork. Also in the summer, we are planning a sports camp and more.

The music ministry is intended to help teach children about basic music skills. We are also trying to enhance children's enjoyment of their instruments, in Christian and Gospel music, for the love of God.

The youth summer camp is a 4 night 5 day trip for children ages 7 and up. It teaches the children about nature. At camp, the children will learn about God and His beautiful earth. The children will also learn about the Bible and the people in the Bible. There will also be swimming, games, a camp fire, and much more.

The back to school weekend is for children and students of all ages. It is designed for children and students to get ready and excited for the school year to come. It will be held for 4 nights. Each night we are trying to have over 25 book bags filled with supplies to give away. Also, if we are able to obtain the funds, we are trying to have a $500 scholarship contest for students in college that are in need.

Types of Charitable Gifts

Gifts of cash are the most popular and widely used. GGTCYP will send the appropriate acknowledgement of your thoughtfulness. A personal check or money order is the best way to give cash.

Donor Recognition: A letter of thanks with specific information regarding the amount of the gift will be sent to you for your records. This letter is confirmation of your gift and may be used for tax purposes. Several Gift Possibilities: Pay a designated amount to the donor and/or beneficiary for life or a specific amount of years and offer income and estate tax benefits. Bequests are also welcome. Your trust can channel your life's resources to the people and causes you love.
